Was this reply helpful? Yes No. Sorry this didn't help. Some Surface devices do not have sufficient spec to implement zoom back grounds. For example SP3 is 4th gen generation intel core, so would be OK if you have the i7, but not the i5 or m3. I have the Surface Pro 5 iU 7th Generation. The virtual background does not work like my wife's Surface Pro 7 and the "green screen" does not work.

The picture shows up behind me but my glasses end up blue and my brown beard ends up multi-colored. Very psychedelic. It's very frustrating to use Zoom and not be able to use the virtual background feature, because the SurfacePro4 is missing something, or is outdated somehow. I can't un-check the green screen option in Zoom, says my system doesn't meet minimum requirements.

Can I download something to upgrade the SurfacePro so things like Zoom's virtual background actually function? I have tried to get help from Zoom today - but no help is provided, we get only references to technical instructions but nothing special related to the Surface laptop.
